Prioritize child life services throughout all pediatric floors such as Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Surgery, General Medicine, Emergency Department, Trauma, Medical/ Surgical Unit, Hematology/ Oncology, Endoscopy and Radiology Department
Provide developmentally appropriate diagnosis education and preparation based on assessment of individual patient needs
Facilitate legacy building and end-of-life support for siblings and parents in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Collaborate with pediatric office supervisor to create age-appropriate welcome bags to promote normalization and enrich positive coping in the hospital environment
Plan and implement individualized therapeutic activities and medical play sessions to meet patient’s psychosocial needs

Gained clinical knowledge on how to support patients and families undergoing radiation treatment through procedural preparation, procedural support and therapeutic activities
Facilitated interdisciplinary team rounds and helped assess the psychosocial needs of each patient
Assisted Radiation Oncologist in determining the need for anesthesia through assessment and medical play practice sessions
Provided psychosocial support to patients undergoing radiation treatment through relaxation techniques, coaching, and guided imagery
